Error Message 17883 (not listed in KB)

Hello,
we constantly receive error message 17883 with the following text:
"Process 54:0 (151c), UMS context 0x049B4A08,...", where the id 54 of a
process is interchangable. After that the application (Documentum 5.2) which
connects to sql server hangs with an error message stating that a connection
timed out.
We searched the KB but only found solutions for other contexts than
0x049B4A08.
We run SQL Server 2000 SP4 on Small Business Server 2003 SP1.

The post-SP3 hotfixes described in these articles are not included in
SQL Server 2000 SP4. See if the error still happens after you install
the cummulative hotfix for build 2162 (which includes the fixes for
these issues), from: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/904660
