Error rendering to PDF, after installing SP1
error from IE:
"Internet Explorer cannot download Format=PDF from myserver.
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested
site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."
Before installing SP1 there were no problems rendering to PDF. Export to
EXCEL and other formats works just fine.
The installation is configured like this:
WEBSERVER:
Windows Sever 2003
Reporting Services Standard Edition + SP1 (Microsoft SQL Server Reporting
Services Version 8.00.878.00)
DBSERVER:
Windows Sever 2003
SQL Server 2000 SP3
The ReportServer, MSSQLSERVER services uses the same Domain account.
I've also seen this problem posted on
http://www.sqlmonster.com/Uwe/Forum.aspx/sql-server-reporting/710/Error-rendering-to-PDF-after-installing-SP1
However there is no solution posted.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem would be appreciated
Regards,After hours of testing, i found <Language>no</Language> in the <Style> tag in
one of my textbox... I removed the whole tag and everything works fine. You
need the whole language kode us-en, nb-no etc. search for language in your
xml code

Error rendering to PDF, after installing SP1
error from IE:
"Internet Explorer cannot download Format=PDF from myserver.
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested
site is either unavailable or canot be found. Please try again later."
This happened for this specific report only, 10 others rendered to PDF just
as they did before. The mentioned report renders well in all other formats,
including HTML and Excel. And it renders fine on another Reporting Services
server (without SP1).
SQL server has SP3a. Servers do not have _ in their names.
Regards,
Marko PrsicCan you send your rdl and the .rdl.data file for us to investigate?

Error R6034 in MSIEXEC.EXE while installing Proclarity Desktop Pro 6.3 Evaluation
What can I do about this? There doesn't seem to be any workaround, I've upgraded everything, including the Msiexec to 3.2 (v2), but the same error always pops up.
I've done other installs of the same product without any problem whatsoever.
Can anyone help?
Regards,

Hello,
This isn't an error we commonly see. It actually looks to be a generic error from the Visual C++ runtime (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms235299(VS.80).aspx). You might try searching for that error and seeing what others have done to resolve it. Those same solutions will likely work for the ProClarity install as well.
Regards,
Ben
|||I did search ... it spoke about VC80, manifest and stuff like that. Too technical for me to understand it.
Thanks anyway. I guess I'll have to do the Eval with Proclarity Web Pro, which installed without any problem.
|||If you have as2000 installed, maybe you will need to install the servicePack 4.
I had problems installing ProClarity 6.3 because i didn't had the latest servicePack of SQLServer 2000.
I hope this helps,

page. I also only get the first page when printing & the error at the end.
I have checked my IE explorer settings & verified scripting is turned on.
Anything else to check?

ReportServer<timestamp>.log file should have some information about the
failure.
If that doesn't help there is a way to turn on logging for the print
control. It is a registry setting on the client machine. I don't remember
the key off hand but can post it later if you don't find the issue from
looking at the report server log files.

1.This solution is for script in a web page. I do not think the control is
designed for using from a winform
2. The control needs to have been installed on the client. Your web page
needs to install this or you need to install it some other way. This is an
IIS thing. I am not doing it because I am using Report Manager. So, if you
use Report Manager and print once then it is installed on the client and the
below will work.
3. Look in readme.sp2Readme_EN.htm for information on using the control
4. Remember that Parameters are case sensitive.

I got this error when I trying to print/preview report from the
ReportManager. I've just installed SP2 to my other machine (second) and the
print/preview button works fine for it. The difference for these two machines
is that the first machine installed SP2 beta before. But I uninstalled RS on
both machines and reinstalled both. Another thing I've noticed is that after
the installation, the RSExecRole was not checked for the ASPNET account on
the first machine but it is checked on the second machine.
Anything else I need to check?
Thanks,

It still does not print or print preview past the first page.
I am using standard report manager with the sample reports.
The report manager is set to an Intranet site with the LOW security setting
in IE.
Another odd item is the page counter on the preview will keep going up in
pages even if the report on has 1 page.
Anything else to check?

Error message opening table in enterprise manager

Basically one or more DLL's in the %Program Files%\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\MSDeisgner98 or MSDesigner7 directories have not been registered
correctly. You can check the %WINDIR%\SQLSTP.LOG and %WINDIR%\SQLSP.LOG log
files to identify any DLL's where there was an issue with registering the

issue using regsvr32.

Error Message after installing SRS SP2
2000 SP4. I installed SQL Reporting Services Developer Edition. Installed SRS
SP2 (this seemed to hang, and ran very slowly on my P4 3GHz box with 2GB of
RAM). When I try to launch Report Manager, I get this error:
Method not found: Void System.Xml.XmlTextReader.set_ProhibitDtd(Boolean).
Any ideas? Should I uninstall/reinstall SRS SP2?
TIA,

JSOHi Berry,
Welcome to use MSDN Managed Newsgroup!
From your descriptions, I understood that you are failed to connect Report
Manager after applied SQL Server Reporting Service SP2. If I have
misunderstood your concern, please feel free to point it out.
Based on my knowledge, it is abnormal when it seems to hang, and ran very
slowly during the installation of SP2. So please hlep me check whether the
installation of SP2 is successfully.
1. Check whether ReportServer in Services is launched successfully, check
whether there is any related information in Event Logs
2. Except Report Manager, could you go into Report Server? Assuming you are
install Reporting Service and IIS on the same local machine. Could you see
the RS version from http://localhost/ReportServer ?
3. Generally speaking, "Method not found" is a common error message which
means some SQL server component isn't installed correctly. It seems XML
compoents is wrong and I recommand you reinstalling VS.NET 2003 and let me
know the results.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. If you have any questions or
concerns, don't hesitate to let me know. We are always here to be of
assistance!
Sincerely yours,
Michael Cheng
