Error Regarding file import through import wizard

Hi all,

when trying to ímport files to our database server from a client, I keep getting an error:

- Validating (Error)
Messages
Error 0xc00470fe: Data Flow Task: The product level is insufficient for component "Source_txt" (1).
(SQL Server Import and Export Wizard)

Error 0xc00470fe: Data Flow Task: The product level is insufficient for component "Data Conversion 1" (175).
(SQL Server Import and Export Wizard)

... doing the same import when logged on the server, hasn't been giving me any errors, how come. I can from my client without trouble import tables from other DB servers but when ever it is files it won't do it.

I tried as mentioned in other threads rerun setup to re-install SSIS, but as it was already installed it wouldn't re-install. My next move would be to make a clean install, but not sure it would help, as I think this is a buck.

error- microsoft ODBC sql server driver - timeout expired

Hi everyone

I have installed SQL server on my server machine. using localsystem and mixmode option.
It is working fine.

I installed sql server with connectivity tools only option on my client computer.

now, When i try to connect to server using data source from control panel --> Administrative tools --> Data source(ODBC).

but I cant connect.It gives me error as below.

Connection Failed:
SQLState:'HYT00'
Sql Server Error:0
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver] Timeout Expired.

I uninstalled sql server from my client and server computer. and installed again.

I tried to ping from client computer to server computer it is working.

even i tried telnet sqlservername 1433

this on is also ok.

even thiough i m facing.

But same error facing

Please help me out.

Check your SQL Server alias. This is sometimes causing errors as your client is having difficulty mapping names to IP addresses. If you are using ODBC DSN, in the Which SQL Server do you want to connect to ? drop down, type the IP Address of your SQL Server box instead of the alias.

error message Only members of sysadmin role are allowed to update .....

Question to those who may have had this same error- it seems that I am not able to delete some of the reports that I have created. This just started happening recently and according to our system admin nothing has changed as far as permissions are concernced. We installed SP2 the other day and I was wondering if this could have anything to do with the error message below

by the way I am a member of the sysadmin group

It looks like you are getting this error because the report has a schedule associated with it and most likely you recently changed the way you connect to the Report Server database. To fix this you will need to set the owner for all of the Report Server SQL Agent jobs to be the user that RS is using to connect to it's database.
