Hi Michael,
Check your SQL Server errorlogs, there could be more information about the
problem why SQL Server won't start.
Hope this helps,

Error message

I am receiving this error:
SQLServerAgent
Alert Engine 318 N/A
Unable to read local eventlog (reason: The event log file
has changed between reads).
Did anybody see this error before?I believe this happens after Windows has emptied the eventlog. I.e., nothing to worry about.
